NEW GENERATIONS AND VOCATIONAL SERVICE New Generations Service recognizes the positive change implemented by youth and young adults through leadership development activities as Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA), Rotaract (a Rotary-sponsored service club for young men and women ages 18 to 30) and Interact (Rotary International’s service club for young people ages 12 to 18), service projects, and creating international understanding with Rotary Youth Exchange. Vocational Service encourages Rotarians to serve others through their vocations and to practice high ethical standards. This page is reserved for information about the New Generations Committee, which manages both the New Generations and Vocational Avenues of Services (two of the five Rotary Avenues of Service). Each of our Club's committees has prepared Key Results and Outcomes, which indicate "where we will be in the future" regarding our Services. CLICK HERE to view the Key Results file for the New Generations Service Committee. Prior establishment of the New Generations Service Committee, the following were carried out: Find and support local exchange students to visit other countries, host foreign exchange students and vocational teams staying locally, Rotary Youth Leadership training, Adventures in High Technology, Adventures in Environment, Deep River Science Academy, Tamarack and Interact programs at Mackenzie High School, and a college bursary. |
